BALLET CONDITIONING

Service Description

A fun, stimulating class that blends general body strengthening exercises with ballet class routine. Develop your movement coordination, balance, and proprioception skills while growing a solid technique anchored in ballet tradition. The combination of ballet basics with a Pilates based workout adds complexity to the succession of steps and challenges coordination & musicality at a superior level. The strength & flexibility acquired are channelled into a focused & controlled choreography. Designed to make you stronger and more confident in your movement, this class is loosely based on the daily workout of New York City Ballet dancers, combining floor exercises with a barre & centre routine meant to tone the body and develop a dancer's poise & grace while increasing the ability to dance with musicality. No previous ballet experience is required. Ballet shoes are welcome if desired, but not mandatory. Normal gym attire is appropriate.

Cancellation Policy

Upon arrival, park in any available spot along Union Street in or in the Basil Bandwagon parking lot (it's our parking lot too!). Doors will open 5-10 minutes before class, and we always welcome late-comers. We provide any equipment necessary for class, and we encourage you to bring layers for warm up, a water bottle, sweat towel, and grippy socks. Our facility also features shower stalls in the bathrooms that you're welcome to use after class. While we do not provide refunds, you are able to reschedule your booking 2 hours or more before your scheduled class start time. All late cancels and absences are subject to a fee if not done more than 2 hours in advance of class in accordance with our Terms & Conditions (linked in the footer).
